It’s Saturday and I find myself at a funeral. One of my mom’s long-time friends has died. “He was more than a friend,” said she. “He was family.”
I’ve taken her to several funerals of late. Her generation is slowly but steadily leaving this earth. She talks of these people, these friends, often. I am reminded that when friends or loved ones are no longer with us, they live on in our memories. That’s my story today. Friends live on in our memories. What’s your’s?
When you’re done here, check out the six words stories on Show My Face. Cate’s always got something interesting going on. So — what’s your story? I’d love to hear about it but keep it brief. Since you can only use six words, every word counts!
